Fighting fit momma came about while I was pregnant with my youngest son. I had been competing around the world on the Irish Kickboxing Team and I felt like didn’t quite fit in after my kids were born. I have been trained by men my entire sporting life and suddenly I found myself alone. I had been told by my coaches - Keep doing what you’ve always done and you are not the norm you’re fitter than most .. you’ll bounce back faster.

But heres the thing...

EveryONE is different and EveryBODY is different and no matter how fit you are your body goes through a huge change during pregnancy and delivery and its time we honoured that with proper care and attention.

I exercised through both my pregnancies. After my sons were born I went back into exercise that I was familiar with because I was led to believe that “fit people like me” "bounce back". I'm here to help you not make the same mistakes I made. Your body doesn't bounce back. It takes time to recover and rehab and adjust to the whole experience of not just pregnancy and postpartum but also motherhood. What I try to tell people now is mindset is the biggest shift you will have to make during this chapter in your Life. I was mindful of my training during pregnancy but after my son was born I had no one explain to me or help me understand how my body changed during and what considerations I needed to make in my journey back to fighting fit. I’m still on that journey since my second son was born but along the way I became the coach I needed. Somehow the magic 6 week check became the “ure good to go” .. I was told at my first 6 week check that I had made a miraculous recovery.
